Christ Centered and Scripturally Based

At Elon, we believe in only one true and living God, Creator of Heaven and earth, perfect, all knowing and all powerful (Dt 6:4-5). The eternal God is the Father, the Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit and although they have separate characteristics, there is no difference in their nature(Mt 28:19-20). Man is made in Gods likeness (Gn 1:26), and by his free choice man sinned against God (Rm 3:23). 

God sent His only Son to die for us (Jn 3:16, 1 Pt 3:18)  To receive salvation and forgiveness in needs only to acknowledge his sin and believe in the death and resurrection of Christ (Rm 10:9-10). We were given the Bible which is God’s word written by man inspired by God; it is a book of instruction for living a life as God intends for us and is without mistake (2 Tm 3:16). In it He reveals Himself, tells of man’s beginning, the fall of man, and man’s ability to have a relationship with Him both here on earth and for eternity (Jn 14:2-3).
